The specialist of cupper-based alloys AMPCO METAL and Osborn Metals have worked together to evaluate the gains of the cold drawing process on the cupper-aluminum alloy CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (2.0966 – C63000) and the results are stunning ! The yield strength (Rp0.2) jumps to about 520MPa which represents an increase of 50% compared to the non-cold drawn bar. With a limited impact on the ultimate strength, the performance of cupper-aluminum alloys is largely improved to withstand to the most demanding applications.
